ELOS UPDATES
Mandated Training – Pay
-Mindfulness training paid at training rate
-ELA / Math PD paid at your regular rate
MATH Materials
-Wilmington MS Math & Science teachers developed project lesson that will be part of the program. Materials for the projects are being delivered to that school this week.
Make-up Mandatory Faculty Meeting
-For those not able to attend the meeting on June 1, we will hold a short make-up on 6/12 at noon in my office.
Field Trips
Contrary to what was shared at the meeting, trips are pre-destined by the ELOS office. Please sign-up for your field trip at the link.

Good Morning and Welcome to our Nimitz MS ELOS Team! Together we will help Nimitz students this summer. Ms. Roesner and Ms. Reilly have been busy recruiting students and creating classes.

The 2017 ELOS program will run from June 20 to July 19 from 8-11:50 for students. Teachers hours are from 7:50-Noon.
Information for the required trainings are attached and posted. The trainings are meant to prepare you for the ELOS Instructional Program (see below). The items attached and posted are:
We are required to have a meeting prior to the opening of the program. The meeting is schedule for June 1 from 3-4pm in our library.

Middle school grades 6-8 ELOS Instructional Program
a. Support Coach Targeted Foundational Mathematics or
Focused Reading Intervention
i. One 2-hour lesson is to be covered each day which includes sight word and word knowledge (ELA) or academic content vocabulary (math) practice.
b. Activity Based Projects – 1.5 hours
i. Readers Theater or Integrated Math/Science activity
lessons, student group work on field trip aligned projects and books, and/or creative extension of classroom lessons each day.
c. Inner Explorer
i. One lesson is to be complete each day in each middle
school class, ELA and Math.
